Persepolis not allowed to employ foreign coach, PEO says

TEHRAN, Nov. 23 (MNA) -- Persepolis football club is forbidden to employ a foreign coach, according to Iran’s Physical Education Organization (PEO).

Following Afshin Ghotbi’s sudden departure from Persepolis, Afshin Peyrovani has been selected as the team’s interim coach.

PEO’s officials informed Persepolis club that they are not allowed to negotiate with any foreign coaches. The popular club is required to support Peyrovani.

According to PEO’s instructions, any player who disobeys the newly-appointed coach, will be expelled from Persepolis and not allowed to join any other Iranian teams.
